David Lewis
David Lewis is a seasoned commercial and strategic leader with extensive experience across the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. Having served as General Manager, Regional Vice President, and Business Unit Director, he brings a proven record of driving profitable growth and exceeding P&L targets in diverse corporate environments — from private equity–backed ventures and family-owned businesses to publicly listed global corporations.
Over the course of his career, David has successfully led and developed high-performing teams, directly managing business units of up to 35 staff and affiliate organisations of 15 staff. He has also provided leadership to distribution partners in markets where affiliates were not present, ensuring alignment and execution at both national and international levels.
David has played a central role in shaping strategy for affiliates, brands, and franchises, delivering successful product launches and accelerating sales growth for established brands. His expertise spans rare diseases and multiple therapeutic areas, including rare metabolic disorders, coagulation, haematology, immunology, dermatology, hepatology, psychiatry, and neurology.
With a strong background in business development and corporate partnerships, David has worked within UK, Japanese, American, and Spanish organisations, consistently demonstrating adaptability and results. His core strengths include commercial execution, launch and growth strategy, market access, marketing, sales leadership, and team development — always with a focus on maximising both individual and collective potential.
